FATHER KNOWS BEST

PROVERBS 23

A PROVERB A DAY

“Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, for he will despise the good sense of your words.”

First of all, it seems like foolishness is on the rise these days.

Have you noticed? Contemplative thought…what in the world is that?

Apparently if I hear something that makes me mad, then, it must be wrong.

Don’t try and prove it with silly facts.

Yesterday I talked about being a child of God.
So, I figured when the father and son comes up in proverbs, even though it was originally penned from a father to a son, I can apply the advice now as advice from my Father to His son (adopted), me.

So what little bit of wisdom I may have, I can’t take credit for it.
It came from my Father.

So, when I speak out what my Father has told me, I make my Father’s heart happy.

I like to make Him happy.

Even if I spoke in the hearing if a fool.

“My son, if your heart is wise, my heart too will be glad. My inmost being will exult when your lips speak what is right.

My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23:9, 15-16, 26‬ ‭ESV‬‬
