PROVERBIAL APRIL

Proverbs 18 (catching up…for now)

“Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.

The words of the mouth are deep waters, but the fountain of wisdom is a rushing stream.
Proverbs 18: 2, 4 NIV

I don’t know if I am the only one, but I find that I like to hear myself speak.

And, when I find a disagreement , I usually try to convince my “opponent” that I am right.

Because, I think I am right.

Right?

The difference between “deep waters” and a “rushing stream” is that deep waters are still waters, and still waters can become polluted waters fairly quickly. A rushing stream has the ability to change the landscape, to alter its course, to move obstacles out of the way, to keep its own water fresh.

And to deliver the water from the Source to the rest of the world.

Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬
