(Psalm 2)

Wendy had the Cooking Channel on the TV all day Saturday, watching “Good Eats- Reloaded”.
“I just can’t stand watching any more news. They are still angry. They won’t stop. They are never satisfied….”
I had a conversation around noon with a husband and wife who I knew were liberal progressive hard-core democrats, and we talked about college, college professors, kids, grandkids, Texas A&M sweet onions, birthday parties, and dogs.
It was nice.
No one got angry.
No one argued.
Do you ever get tired of all the conflict?
Choosing sides?
Living every moment fighting for what your side believes?
Waking up every morning to see if the other side has stumbled or fallen?
What good are we doing?
The Bible talks about the nations plotting against the Plan of God.
Nothing new…it’s been going on since the beginning.
In politics, all sides do it.
Seriously, it’s kind of a fruitless battle.
Fighting against the One who can stop your heart or give you eternal life or bless you or curse you or open your blind eyes or open your deaf ears or give you the right to become His child…
Biting the hand that feeds you?
How can you change someone’s mind?
“When you pray…”
(Not if, when)
“…You pray in secret, and your Father will reward you openly. “( Matthew 6).

“Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.”
Psalms 2:11-12 ESV

For God’s kingdom is The Kingdom
God’s power is The Power
God’s glory is The GloryForever and ever.
And so it is.
